One of our Federal Government Clients seeking to engage Junior Security Analyst at Canberra location.

Role: Junior Security Analyst

Length of contract: 12 months + 24 months

Security clearance: Must have NV1 security clearance

Overview:

Cyber Advisors provide ICT security advice and assistance to government, including policy creation, project advice and assistance, and research.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible for actioning and allocating SIAM cyber related tickets through our DAFF system and other cybersecurity queues like shared mailboxes.

• Responsible for proxy administration, website whitelisting and troubleshooting requests related to proxy rule restrictions.

• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders both written and verbal.

• Developing and maintaining cyber knowledge base articles for the SIAM, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cyber teams.

• Level 1 and 2 Incident investigation and response within the designated SIEM, escalating tickets to incident response manager and senior cyber resources where required.

• Alert response activities within a protected environment SIEM.

• Contribute to Change Management for DAFF relating to cyber security and other approval requests.

Technical skills:

• Minimum two years demonstrated experience with: Enterprise Proxies Azure Sentinel Defender XDR Splunk Active Directory Ticket management systems
