Junior Security Analyst
- ACT, NSW, QLD, VICBased
- NV1 Security Clearance mandatory
- Length of Contract: Contract to 12 months with possible extension upto 2*12 months
- Closing date: 2pm Friday June 6th 2025
Key duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for actioning and allocating SIAM cyber related tickets through our system and other cybersecurity queues like shared mailboxes.
- Responsible for proxy administration, website whitelisting and troubleshooting requests related to proxy rule restrictions.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders both written and verbal.
- Developing and maintaining cyber knowledge base articles for the SIAM, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cyber teams.
- Level 1 and 2 Incident investigation and response within the designated SIEM, escalating tickets to incident response manager and senior cyber resources where required.
- Alert response activities within a protected environment SIEM.
- Contribute to Change Management for client relating to cyber security and other approval requests.
Technical skills
Minimum two years demonstrated experience with: Enterprise Proxies Azure Sentinel Defender XDR Splunk Active Directory Ticket management systems
Selection Criteria
Essential criteria
1. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Cyber Security related role
2. Demonstrated experience with the toolsets and platforms noted under the technical skills section
3. Demonstrated experience producing standard operating procedures in a Cyber environment and producing operational technical documentation/user guides for cyber designated systems.
4. Experience in an IT environment in Change Management reviews in particular firewall rules.
5. Experience working with ITIL processes.
6. Communicating to end users regarding cyber requests, issues and queries.
