Senior Python Engineer

📍 Location: Brussels | Type: Permanent, Full-time (CDI)

We’re currently hiring for a Senior Python Engineer on behalf of an innovative client in the energy sector.

This is your opportunity to take on a technical leadership role, shaping system architecture, driving engineering excellence, and delivering high-impact solutions.

What you’ll be doing:

• Design, deploy, and manage microservices architectures with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security
• Drive the development of high-quality RESTful APIs using FastAPI
• Oversee database management using PostgreSQL, Redis, and distributed systems
• Implement containerized solutions with Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes
• Ensure software quality through robust testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) and adherence to coding standards
• Align technical decisions with business objectives and facilitate cross-departmental communication

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Proven track record designing or evolving microservices architectures
• Hands-on experience with dependencies, service integrations, observability (logs, monitoring, debugging), security, resilience, distributed databases, versioning, deployment, orchestration, and cost management
• Deep knowledge of Python, using frameworks such as Django/FastAPI
• Strong DevOps skills with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments
• Advanced understanding of software quality: testing strategies, coding conventions, and security
