Project Management Officer (PMO)

To reinforce our Transformation Office & PMO department, we are looking for an agile profile to take up the role of Project Manager Officer (PMO).

Your Role:

  • Project Support: support project managers (PM’s) and business owners to ensure the projects stay on track (scope, budget, timing).
  • Project Governance: educate PM’s in using the correct processes, templates and tools for adequate and efficient project management.
  • Project Budget Management: review project budget requests and monitor and report the yearly project portfolio budget.
  • Project Capacity Management: consolidate cross-departmental resource planning processes to optimize utilization of internal and external resources and improve efficiency.
  • Project Demand Management: be the single point of contact for new project initiatives.
  • Project Reporting: provide regular updates on the projects’ progress and statuses.


Desired Skills & Expertise:

Soft Skills:

  • Good collaboration and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proven communication / influencing skills with the ability to work at all levels.


Hard Skills:

  • Agile way of working.
  • A good understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Affinity with Insurance and Financial services is a plus
  • Ability to analyse current business performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to make / analyse business cases.
  • Ability to work with PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Perfect command of English with a working knowledge of Dutch and French.
  • At least Bachelor level or equivalent by experience
  • At least 5 years experience in a PMO role (more than 10 years experience is a plus)
