Head of Analytics (2 positions)

We are looking for two Head of Analytics to lead our new teams. One is focused on Lottery and the other one on iGaming business. Please mention in the application if you have a preference for certain business.

The roles are permanent, full-time positions in our Operational Analytics & Insight unit. The unit supports especially Veikkaus' business functions in the utilization of AI, analytics and reporting, as well as building the capabilities for whole Veikkaus group together with our other DA teams. As a Head of Analytics, you are leading a team of professional with very close alignment and collaboration with respective businesses.

AI and data-driven management are at the heart of Veikkaus' operations both in Finland and in our international business – our goal is to be the world's most data-driven gambling company by the end of 2027, and we are making rapid progress towards it. We have Finland's largest online store and a huge amount of data from one of Finland's largest customer bases.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Lead and inspire the team consisting of data, AI and analytics professionals. Develop and coach the team, its members and the way of working with your leadership and management skills.
• Collaborating with stakeholders from business to ensure that the teams are integrated into their processes, and to the other DA teams to build the required capabilities to fill the current and future business needs.
• Plan and execute the roadmap by identifying areas where data and analytics can be applied, setting goals together with business, and ensuring that the initiatives are aligned with the organization's overall business goals.
• As a Head of Analytics, you’re responsible for the performance of the team to achieve its goals and other defined responsibilities.
  
  

It would be great to hear from you if you have:

• Several years’ experience at least in part of the following: business & customer analytics, delivering insight, developing reporting, data-driven business development
• Experience on leading and coaching AI, data or analytics professionals. Alongside your passion for data and analytics, you are committed to people— empowering your team and contributing that to Veikkaus’ success
• Ability to open and sell the benefits of data and analytics to various business stakeholders, and to also identify potential business use cases with them
• Systematic, analytical and proactive ways of working with a positive can-do attitude
• Strong technical and content understanding of data, as well as reporting and analytics that utilize it.
• Previous work results in turning analytics into actionable business outcomes
• Excellent communication and networking skills
• Excellent oral and written proficiency in English

• A relevant higher education degree
• Understanding of gambling (lottery, icasino, sports betting) or other similar industry
• Documentation and communication skills in Finnish

This position is located in Finland. We have modern and agile remote working methods in use and flexible on-site working spaces at the office in Pohjois-Haaga.
