C++ developer to gaming company

We are looking for a C++ developer.

Start: ASAP or August

Length: 18 months

Location: Stockholm on-site minimum 2-3 days per week

As a member of the design system team, you will have the unique challenge of creating and maintaining a scalable, performant and stable architecture for our Ore UI system used in current edition.

Some of your tasks will be:

• Work on the game edition to develop the systems that drive Ore UI, using C++
• Collaborating with C++ developers and TypeScript/React developers on building new UI and making API decisions.
• Work with designer and producer to solve user needs.
• Maintain integration between our game and top of the line 3rd party UI technology.
• Collaborate with other teams to drive UI cohesion throughout the game.
• Improve ways of working and technical best practices within the team.
• Coach members within and outside of the team on best practices in software development.
• Balance performance, user experience and developer experience in every decision.
• Ensure high levels of quality, for example by utilizing good API design and test automation.
  
  

What you will bring to the team:

• Proficiency with C++ (C++17 and C++20).
• Experience working with legacy code.
• Understanding of and interest in rendering and how graphics implementations are made.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a natural collaborator and team player.
• Passion for supporting and understanding how the product teams using Ore UI can work efficiently with the framework we provide for them.
