Software Engineer : Python/Java/C++ : Quant Fund : Warsaw, Poland

A leading global quant fund is now looking to expand it's elite software engineering team in Warsaw, Poland. Our client is a technology driven investment firm with offices across the world who utilise talent within Europe to build trading systems that help their quantitative teams make strategic market decisions. The seek object orientated software engineers from STEM backgrounds to be part of this newly formed team working on greenfield projects and application builds. You will not need a finance background to apply, as this firm pride themselves on elevating true technologists from any industry into great successes in this sector.

You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions, collaborating across teams, and bringing creative problem-solving to real-world challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, and maintain scalable software systems
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to architecture decisions, and promote engineering best practices
• Debug and resolve software defects and performance issues

Ideal skills profile:

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages Python, Java, C++; C and Rust is beneficial
• 1-2+ years experience in software development
• Containerisation tools such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of probability, statistics and calculus
• Interested in finance - derivatives and options business area
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or STEM subject
