UX/UI Frontend Developer

Job Summary

Combines the arts of design and development with the passion for creating intuitive user interfaces. Leads UI/UX initiatives, translating designs into high-quality, responsive code. Actively contributes to front-end architecture by developing and maintaining scalable, reusable components and libraries, and stays up to date with technology trends to bring innovative solutions to the user experience.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Leads UI/UX efforts and collaborates with cross-functional teams to design and develop responsive web applications.
• Translates UI/UX designs into high-quality code, ensuring pixel-perfect implementation and optimal performance across devices.
• Architects and maintains reusable front end components and libraries.
• Optimises web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Conducts code reviews and provides constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Stays updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating them into the front end development process as appropriate.
• Assures all user input is validated before submitting to back-end development teams.

Experience, Skills and Key Competencies

Experience as a front-end developer with a successful track record of delivery high-quality web applications, a background that demonstrates responsive design & coding and asynchronous request handling including partial page updates, and proven proficiency in the following:

• CMS/Umbraco
• Web mark-ups (HTML5, CSS3)
• Client-side scripting
• JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, Vue.js, Node.js)
• Code versioning tools such as Git
• Cross-browser compatibility & workarounds
• Bootstrap and AJAX
• Adobe XD and image authoring tools

Must also be able to demonstrate the following skills and abilities:

• Can effectively organize and manage day-to-day work and priorities, and use time, energy and resources to meet goals, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work, and can easily adjust to shifts in priorities as the needs of the business change.
• Able to effectively work and thrive in a remote work environment that has limited opportunities for in-person interactions.
