Role Description

This is a remote contractor role for a Frontend Developer at Firstborn Group. Location is not a concern but candidate should be able to work UK timings. The Frontend Developer will be responsible for creating and maintaining the user interface of our web applications, ensuring they are responsive and visually appealing. Day-to-day tasks include translating design mockups into code, optimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalability, collaborating with back-end developers to integrate APIs, and troubleshooting and debugging issues. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.

Qualifications/Experience

• Minimum 3 years experience in a frontend developer role
• Extensive experience with use of WordPress including custom theme and/or plugin development, integration with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), creating/using custom post types, custom database queries
• Fluency with all of the following coding languages HTML, CSS (including frameworks like SASS, Bootstrap and Tailwind), JavaScript, PHP
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks - namely jQuery and Vue.js
• Experience with coding APIs - preparing payloads, sending API requests, handling responses and errors
• Experience with form customization - validation, prefilling and processing of data
• Understanding of simple server administration tasks - cPanel, issuing SSL certifications, new site setup, site migration, DB setup, DNS settings
• Familiarity with NPM, Gulp or similar package managers
• Familiarity with Git repositories and version control
• Familiarity with Google Tag Manager, Analytics and Search Console
