About the Role

The Corporate Director of Digital Experience will lead the digital transformation of guest experiences across Aldar’s Hospitality portfolio.

This is a digital product leadership role, responsible for delivering intuitive, high-performance digital platforms; built on JavaScript, Next.js, Node.js, and serverless architecture; that elevate service, drive customer delight, and integrate seamlessly into Aldar’s broader digital ecosystem.

The Corporate Director of Digital Experience will own the full digital product lifecycle, from vision to delivery, in partnership with cross-functional teams in design, engineering, data, operations, and Group Technology. This is not a traditional IT role; core infrastructure and IT operations are owned in partnership by the Group Technology function.

This role is focused on guest-facing digital experiences, platform innovation, and product strategy execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest-Centered Digital Products

• Design and deliver the end-to-end digital guest journey, from discovery and booking to in-stay experiences, checkout, and re-engagement.
• Build and launch seamless, omnichannel solutions across mobile, web, kiosk, and in-room platforms, designed with best-in-class UI/UX.
• Ensure every interaction is personalized, data-informed, and brand-consistent, while augmenting—not replacing—human hospitality.

Modern Digital Architecture

• Lead digital delivery using a modern tech stack:

Frontend: Next.js, React

Backend: Node.js

Architecture: Serverless, API-first, cloud-native

• Work closely with Group Digital and Engineering to scale secure, performant products integrated with CRM, PMS, payment, and analytics platforms.
• Coordinate with Group Technology for infrastructure alignment, enterprise governance, cybersecurity, and platform scalability.

Product Strategy & Execution

• Define and drive the hospitality digital product roadmap in alignment with Aldar’s group-wide digital vision.
• Lead sprints, roadmaps, and releases using Agile delivery methodologies.
• Champion user research, testing, and iteration cycles to enhance usability and adoption.

Stakeholder & Partner Collaboration

• Act as the key digital business partner to the Hospitality division, ensuring digital initiatives support commercial and guest-experience goals.
• Liaise with hotel brand partners, tech vendors, and third-party developers to ensure digital solutions are integrated, future-proof, and on-brand.
• Collaborate with design, product marketing, and guest operations to ensure digital and physical experiences work in harmony.

Performance, Analytics & Optimization

• Define, track, and report on key performance indicators: guest NPS, adoption rates, conversion, usage metrics, and ROI.
• Implement continuous improvement practices using guest feedback, A/B testing, and analytics platforms.
• Support BI initiatives by enabling data-driven insights across guest and operational experiences.

Budget, Delivery & Governance

• Manage the digital transformation and innovation budget for the Hospitality vertical.
• Ensure all initiatives align with Aldar’s digital standards, enterprise compliance (e.g. GITC, ITAC, ICFR), and platform strategies.
• Collaborate with procurement and legal on digital contracts, licensing, and partner engagement.

Required skills and qualifications

Education

• Bachelors in Product Management, Computer Science, Digital Experience Design, or a related field.
• Master’s or MBA in Digital Innovation or Strategy is preferred.

Experience

• 10+ years of digital leadership, with proven success in building customer-facing digital products in hospitality, retail, or travel.
• Experience with modern JavaScript stacks (Next.js, Node.js), API-first development, and serverless architecture.
• Background in product management, agile delivery, and cross-functional team leadership.
• Deep understanding of hospitality platforms (e.g. PMS, CRM, loyalty systems) and digital customer journeys.
