Description

We are looking for a Hardware Designer to join our team in the Montreal office.

This position is based in Saint-Laurent.

Tâches

Perform hardware design activities including electronic design, schematic capture, PCB layout, BOM creation, and PCB manufacturing package generation.

• Perform circuit level design and testing for both analog and digital circuitry (filter design, signal conditioning, optical/capacitive isolation, SMPS, current sensing, communication interfaces, microcontrollers, etc.)
• Experience with different communication protocols and physical layers (SPI, I2C, UART, etc.)
• Design test stations for product debug and verification
• Select components (chips, passive & active components, power components, etc.)
• Plan and perform board bring-up and testing for PCBA
• Prepare PCBA manufacturing package and support manufacturer
• Maintain documentation and prepare test plans
• Support the software development team on the hardware related tasks
• Conduct and document investigations of hardware anomalies and failures
• Stay up to date with the most recent technological advancement in electronic to apply to future product developments
• Document the design, functionality and tests related to product development
• Adhere to health and safety rules (personal and equipment)
• Ensure to meet scheduled deadlines and report risks, problems and delays to the supervisor
  
  

Exigences

• 5 years of hardware design experience
