UI/UX designer (Contract)

CloudMile is seeking a UI/UX designer who would support the data team to explore and design intuitive interfaces that transform geospatial and environmental data into compelling insightful visualizations.

What you will do

• Lead End-to-End Design: Lead design projects from discovery to final implementation, ensuring both business goals and user needs are met.
• User Research and Strategy: Define and lead qualitative and quantitative research; including interviews, usability studies, A/B testing and competitive analysis. Synthesis these complex insights and translate them into impactful solutions.
• Visual Design: Drive the visual design direction, creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, and detailed mockups to illustrate concepts and enhance desirability of product.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering to strategically prioritize features, distinguishing between 'must-have' essentials and 'good-to-have' enhancements, to deliver high-quality products efficiently within an agile framework.
• Service Design Blueprints: Develop and utilise service design blueprints to map and highlight the different touch points between product, people and processes in a customer journey, identifying areas of growth and opportunities.
• Metrics: Define, track, and leverage key UX metrics to measure the effectiveness of design implementations and inform iterative improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of demonstrable experience in end-to-end product design, consistently delivering high-impact and scalable solutions for digital products.
• Proven leadership in user research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative) and data analysis, leveraging insights to drive design decisions.
• Exceptional visual design skills, with a deep understanding of typography, color, layout, and the ability to establish and maintain visual consistency in product.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex design decisions to achieve common consensus and buy-in between the different stakeholders.
• Ability to proactively influence and shape the 'what' and the 'why' behind product and design strategy.
