SOCIAL & ECONOMIC RESPONSIBILITY LEAD

Primary Purpose Of The Job

QatarEnergy is seeking a Social and Economic Responsibility Lead to champion its sustainability agenda in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030. In this strategic role, you will lead the development of social development policies, oversee sustainability reporting in line with global standards (GRI, IPIECA, TCFD), and drive impactful community initiatives. You’ll collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders, monitor performance, and provide insights to executive leadership. This role is key to shaping QatarEnergy’s long-term social responsibility strategy and reinforcing its leadership in sustainable development.

Required Experience And Skills

• Work Experience: Minimum 15 years of professional experience, including at least 10 years in social and economic development within the oil & gas or large corporate sectors, and 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of sustainability reporting standards and TCFD implementation in the oil & gas industry, with proven project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication, presentation, and public relations skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and work effectively with communities and stakeholders.
  
  

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Public relation/ Management studies/Social Policy/Economics/Engineering or equivalent disciplines.
• A Post Graduate degree/diploma in any of the above disciplines highly desirable.
