Data Privacy Officer

Purpose and Summary:

Responsible to ensure that the Bank processes the personal data of its customers, staff, etc. in accordance with the data protection rules and to perform compliance and QA reviews according to the approved plans.

Key Deliverables:

• Assist in conducting the privacy impact assessment process, in close collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain an internal reporting mechanism for intended (new or changed) personal data processing activities, to which business unit/process owners must adhere.
• Give advice and recommendations to the Bank about the interpretation or application of the data protection rules
• reviewing the internal policies, processes and procedures to ensure the business and departments are compliant to the required rules and standards.
• educating and training staff members on compliance matters through training sessions and circulations of awareness memos and provide guidance on the appropriate implementation of applicable laws, regulations and standards through policies and procedures.
• Conduct compliance/AML Quality assurance reviews to ensure that divisions, units and branches are in adherence with the applicable laws and regulations related to their areas of business/operations.
• Assist the head of department in any other tasks.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in business/information security or a relevant field.

• Command over English and Arabic language

Experience:

• 0-3 years of experience in similar roles

• Fair understanding of the Banking Operations
• Fair understanding of the Central Bank regulations and internal policies and procedures
