Position: HSE Administration & Reporting Officer
Location: Sohar, Oman
Project Type: Brownfield Expansion
Job Role: We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive HSE Administration & Reporting Officer to support our Health, Safety & Environment team for a Brownfield Expansion Project in Sohar, Oman. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative, reporting, and data analysis capabilities, with a proven ability to manage HSE-related information and performance metrics in compliance with client standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the HSE team in the implementation and maintenance of the HSE Management System
- Manage and update online training management systems, including uploading all training records
- Monitor and report contractor KPI performance regularly
- Perform HSE data analysis and prepare presentations as per client's format
- Use SAP Incident Management system to upload and maintain incident records
- Generate HSE reports and provide safety performance analysis
- Prepare presentations for contractor performance reviews, participative meetings, and other stakeholder forums
- Maintain proper documentation, including file management and follow-up
- Observe and ensure compliance with all HSE requirements and statutory regulations, including environmental permits and Omani standards
- Assist with monitoring and reporting of HSE KPIs and performance indicators
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, HSE, or a High School Diploma with 4+ years of relevant experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in HSE administration, preferably within the construction or industrial sectors
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office tools
- Experience in data analysis, KPI tracking, and HSE reporting
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required
- Strong data management and reporting skills
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities
- Proven attention to detail and ability to follow up on multiple ongoing tasks
- Experience working in SAP or similar enterprise systems is a plus
