Role scope

  • Designation: Consultant—Product Management
  • Base location: Bengaluru

  • Required work experience: 7+ years


Key capabilities being looked for

  1. The candidate should deeply understand & keep up to date on the latest trends in the Retail banking / Digital Banking / Deposits / Loans / cash management / Payments space and have an outlook on what the competitive landscape looks like & how the markets and industry dynamics are evolving
  2. Minimum of 7-8 years’ experience with a proven track record of working in the product management / solution engineering/ banking functions in the above stated areas
  3. Ability to leverage thought leadership, consulting skills, industry know how, convincing/articulation skills
  4. Deep understanding of the product development lifecycle using Agile Methodology and relevant prior experience in drafting vision statements, epics, and user stories, use cases documents, solution papers, business workflow documents and high-level design documents.
  5. Deep understanding of the domain, ability to conceive and design end-to-end product flows, identify relevant operational processes, and clearly articulate these flows and processes to the relevant business and technology workgroups
  6. Excellent analytical, problem solving and lateral thinking skills to manage complex application functionalities and conflicting business priorities
  7. Capability to perform demos and presentation for internal and external stakeholders including prospective clients
  8. Proven inter-personal skills to actively engage with cross-cultural teams across the globe in understanding client needs, interacting with the stakeholders, managing client queries etc.
  9. Understanding of technology with ability to translate technology possibilities and solutions to business / client usage opportunities
  10. Capability to create new, innovative products & portfolios, ability to identify potential products for alliances etc. for enabling organic and inorganic growth.


Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Work closely with the stream leads and execute the end-to-end product delivery lifecycle covering conceptualization, business requirements, product solutions, quality checks, deployment and eventually, the customer migration phases of the revamped platform
  2. Own and deliver one or more product rationalization work streams by getting into the details of the existing application features, measure client usage, ascertain business relevance and come up with final recommendations and execution plan
  3. Demonstrate product proficiency and develop Human centric user interface designs covering critical banking flows by working extensively with the external user interface specialists
  4. Work closely with the delivery teams, reinforce the business and delivery priorities, and deliver on the agreed business tasks such as user stories, business flow diagrams etc.
  5. Assist the stream leads in preparing status reports and capabilities document in articulating the key achievements / updates of the program to the senior management teams
  6. Participation and ownership for key activities like business case preparation, product backlog maintenance, BRD, SRS, Features, User Stories etc.
  7. Ensure customer stories are clearly articulated, customer problem statements are defined and acceptance criteria clearing defined
  8. Work with teams to arrive at innovative use cases leveraging Analytics, RPA, AI, ML etc.
