Project Manager (Insurance)

Up to £650 per day (Outside IR35)

6-Month Contract | 2 days/week in London office

Our client, a leading underwriting business, is preparing for its next phase of growth and is seeking a Project Manager with strong business analysis capabilities to drive delivery across a critical transformation roadmap.

Following a strategic audit, key recommendations were made to enhance operational readiness, streamline finance systems, and modernise internal processes. This role is central to developing a delivery plan and ensuring the organisation is equipped for future expansion and potential funding activity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and execution of tactical and strategic improvements across finance and operations.
• Develop a clear, actionable roadmap for audit recommendations.
• Build business cases, prioritise deliverables, and manage cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
• Conduct workshops and interviews to define requirements and identify quick wins vs. long-term initiatives.
• Work closely with the CFO and the change leadership to provide delivery oversight.
• Navigate complex stakeholder dynamics and manage personalities with political sensitivity.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven hybrid Project Manager / Business Analyst with strong insurance sector experience.
• Understanding of insurance operations and finance, ideally including PAS replacement or system upgrades.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills — confident working with senior leadership and challenging personalities.
• Ability to work independently, own the roadmap, and keep momentum with limited supervision.
• Comfortable balancing short-term tactical improvements with strategic, long-term transformation goals.
• A pragmatic, emotionally intelligent communicator who thrives in fast-paced environments.
