Telecommunications Technology Trainee

Who We're Looking For

Do you have experience and passion for technology then we may have the job for you, we are looking for our next super star who wants to develop into a fully qualified Telecommunications Technician.

You will be working with our talented pool of Technicians that will guide, teach and mentor you along your journey to becoming a Technician within our technology stack.

About The Role

Based out of our Wollongong office you will be engaged in commercial, government, aged and health care business on a daily basis. This role would suit a, highly ambitious, organised and driven team member, who is also prepared to travel within NSW (Regional and South Coast).

Ericom provides whole of business solutions to medium and large size businesses and government departments across Australia. We pride ourselves on delivering end-to-end customer outcomes with a commitment to customer service.

You will undertake a 2 year traineeship gaining a CERTIFICATE III IN TELECOMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY ICT30519 is a trade level qualification for those working in the telecommunications industry. This program covers a broad range of telecommunications skills and provides a solid base for workers undertaking jobs selecting, installing and configuring equipment in convergent technology networks.

• Structured cabling installations
• Optical fibre installations
• Optical fibre splicing
• Network testing and analysis
• Network patching and auditing
  
  

additionally you will learn skills in CCTV | Access Control | Nurse Call System.

Do you have?

• Proof of Vaccination
• Current Drivers Licence
• Construction Industry White Card
• Current Police Clearance and or DCSI Clearance (or willing to obtain).
• Excellent presentation - neat and tidy is a must
• Savvy with all things tech. and excited about new and emerging technologies.
• Solid communication skills
• The successful applicant must be an Australian Citizen/Resident.
