Security & Traffic Coordinator – Defence Project

Established, multi-state presence, market leading Tier 2 ContractorExtensive project pipeline in Defence, Industrial & Commercial sectorsDelivering Defence project $50m to $100m of a new build or refurbishment nature Great opportunity to join a Tier 2 contractor with excellent presence in the Defence, industrial and commercial sectors with a strong reputation for delivering quality projects. A market leading Tier 2 contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking an experienced Security, Traffic & Stakeholder Coordinator to join their growing business. This is a site-based position where you’ll be responsible for coordinating all aspects of site security, traffic management, and stakeholder engagement on a large scale defence construction project site. Working closely with site management and project management teams, your role will be critical to ensuring security compliance, smooth logistics, and effective communication between all parties. Ideal the candidate will have previous experience delivering Defence / Commercial / Industrial / Civil construction projects of a similar nature. This project will be $50m+. Responsibilities include but not limited to:Implement and manage site security protocols in line with Defence compliance requirementsDevelop and oversee traffic and pedestrian management plans to ensure safe, efficient site accessAct as the key liaison between the contractor, client representatives, and local stakeholdersCoordinate with security personnel, delivery teams, and subcontractorsMaintain detailed logs and ensure reporting accuracy for audits and reviewsContribute to maintaining a strong site safety and security culture Qualifications and Requirements:Minimum 3 -10 years’ experience in similar roleIdeally experience working on Defence, infrastructure or secure government projectsSolid knowledge of construction traffic management, security processes, and stakeholder engagementAbility to work autonomously and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholdersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWell-developed interpersonal skillsExperience with Microsoft Office suiteConstruction Safety Induction (white) cardCurrent Driver LicenceAbility to obtain Police Clearance Ability to obtain Defence Clearance This is a permanent full-time position providing a great opportunity to work with a successful and growing organisation who offer challenging work and the potential for career progression.
