NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the preparation of proposal for the EU funded project in SEA Lot 6: Education Sector Public Expenditure Review (PER) in Greenland and is searching for non-key experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project.
The overall objective of the Education PER would be to provide evidence-based recommendations for: better fiscal management, efficiently and effectively use of public expenditures to support Greenland’s education sector, improve service delivery).
Data Analyst / Statistician (Category II)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of budget execution, fiscal policies, and financial oversight mechanisms.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends in public spending and financial performance.
- Conduct variance analysis and support cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness assessments.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity across various sources.
- Develop compelling data visualizations, dashboards, and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with finance, education, and policy experts to support integrated analytical outputs.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of data collection strategies where needed.
- Prepare analytical reports, briefs, and data summaries for stakeholders and decision-makers.
☝️ Qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proficiency in English (C1); Knowledge of Danish or Greenlandic is an asset.
☝️ Professional experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience, with demonstrated expertise in data analysis, preferably in public finance, economics, or development sectors.
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software and data visualization tools (e.g., R, Python, STATA, SPSS, Tableau, Power BI).
- Proven experience in handling large datasets and applying advanced statistical techniques.
- Strong knowledge of public sector data, fiscal indicators, or development finance is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex data in accessible formats.
☝️ Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with government, development agencies, or international institutions.
- Familiarity with open data standards, GIS, or machine learning tools is a plus.
- Publication or authorship of relevant analytical reports or dashboards.
