About the Company

Our client is a leading financial services company in Dublin city centre.

About the Position

Are you an experienced Oracle Developer looking for a new challenge in a global, fast-paced finance technology environment? Join our Business Solutions team, where you’ll play a key role in building and enhancing critical systems that power the core finance functions of a leading financial institution.

We support global operations with cutting-edge technology for areas such as general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, client profitability, corporate tax, forecasting, funds transfer pricing, and regulatory reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-performing team with a forward-looking roadmap and meaningful work that impacts finance teams around the world.

The Role

As an Oracle Developer in the Finance Technology team, you’ll contribute to large-scale, enterprise-level programs that drive strategic transformation. You’ll work closely with global stakeholders and deliver robust, high-performance solutions on a mission-critical data platform.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Modernizing and migrating existing reference data systems to strategic platforms.
  • Building tools that accelerate onboarding of new data feeds, including automated testing, reconciliation, and data quality monitoring.
  • Developing new features to enhance our core reference data platform, with a focus on data quality, performance, and analytics.
  • Designing and implementing features for next-gen technology platforms.
  • Occasionally providing expert-level (third-line) support for live applications.
  • Working closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and perform functional analysis.

The Candidate

  • 8+ years of Oracle PL/SQL development experience, including deep expertise in large-scale databases: performance tuning, indexing strategies, partitioning, and stored procedure optimization.
  • Proven track record in enterprise-scale programs/projects within financial services or similarly complex environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think both strategically and tactically.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience working in Agile teams and delivering in fast-paced environments.
  • Passion for data, performance, and clean, scalable code.

Remuneration Package

Very strong rate on offer.

This is a hybrid role and there is a possibility of extension.

Why Apply?

  • Work on a strategic platform with a clear roadmap for future enhancements.
  • Collaborate with global teams and stakeholders on high-impact initiatives.
  • Be part of a culture that values innovation, performance, and continuous improvement.
