About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Software Test Team Lead to join our client one of Irelands leading Insurance providers. This role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality software delivery through robust testing practices, team leadership, and continuous improvement. You’ll work cross-functionally with various departments to support core business functions and implement automated testing solutions that improve efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the test team in daily operations, providing guidance and acting as an escalation point.
• Define and adhere to testing processes and procedures for both new and existing functionality.
• Contribute to project estimations, test strategies, and timelines.
• Design, build, and debug robust test automation solutions.
• Support test execution across functional, UAT, performance, regression, API, and security testing.
• Collaborate with business teams and development to identify system requirements and manage defect resolution.
• Drive the evolution of manual and automated testing practices.
• Partner with the Solution Delivery Test Manager to develop and implement process improvements.
• Lead initiatives to enhance quality standards, reporting, and team development.
• Provide training to team members or end users as required.
• Support production deployments and ensure testing coverage for operational support.
• Champion continuous improvement in our delivery methodology and contribute to project success.
• Promote best-practice collaboration with a focus on team alignment and business objectives.

Essential Requirements:

• At least 6 years of experience in software development Test lifecycles and/or automation technologies.
• Strong PL/SQL skills are essential.
• Solid understanding of software delivery best practices.
• Experience with Cypress is a plus.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence is desirable.
