Our Dublin based client is looking to hire a Research Scientist on a 12 month contract. The Research Scientist in this role will: (i) conduct independent research related to the stability and formulation of biologics, especially as related to PEGylation and stability of an enzyme in studies supported by the client (ii) assist with the management of laboratory equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct independent research related to the stability and formulation of biologics under the direction of the PI, with special emphasis on PEGylation of proteins.
• Provide on-site support and supervision for other members of the Formulation and Stability group.
• Maintain lab equipment and infrastructure, including recommending and requesting new instruments as opportunities arise.

Essential Criteria

• Earned Ph.D. in biochemistry, chemistry, or chemical engineering
• Demonstrated experience in analysis of biologics (e.g., proteins, peptides, nucleotides)

Desirable Criteria

• Previous experience with protein mass spectrometry (LC/MS)
• Previous experience interfacing with industrial research sponsors
• Training and/or previous experience in project management
• Previous experience in supervising others in a research lab
