Senior Frontend Developer

About the role 

Multisynaptech is looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to take ownership of the frontend of our new, software suite. 

You'll be responsible for building a modern, high-performing, stateful frontend using Vue 3 and Pinia, working closely with backend engineers and designers to create an intuitive, OS-like experience tailored for dental professionals. 

The system will behave like a specialized desktop OS within the browser, where speed, state management, and smooth navigation are essential.

What you’ll do 

• Lead the design and development of the frontend application using Vue 3, Pinia, and modern tooling. 
• Build a rich, desktop-like user experience that feels fast, stateful, and seamless — think application OS, not websites. 
• Integrate with real-time backend services (e.g., chat, notifications, or live patient data) while ensuring secure data flows and need-to-know access principles. 
• Work closely with the Tech Lead and UI/UX designers to define UI patterns, component structures, and behavior-driven design. 
• Make sure our application meets formal healthcare certification criteria (e.g., NEN7510, ISO27001), including end-to-end encryption awareness in the UI and client-side protections. 
• Ensure the application is highly performant, accessible, and maintainable across a wide range of setups. 
• Collaborate with backend engineers on security-by-design patterns, including end-to-end encryption handling in chat and patient data workflows. 
• Collaborate on future extensions into 3D visualization or image manipulation tools (e.g., for dental imaging), and support integration with hardware or desktop-like experiences. 

Who you are 

• 5+ years of experience as a senior frontend developer, ideally in product-driven or complex application environments. 
• Expert in Vue.js 3, Pinia, and TypeScript. 
• Proven experience building stateful, single-page applications that mimic OS-like behavior (e.g., fullscreen apps, complex data-driven UIs). 
• Experience working with real-time data streams (WebSockets, SSE, etc.), with awareness of security considerations (e.g., message encryption, validation, replay attack protection). 
• Strong knowledge of performance optimization, component-based architecture, and behavior prediction techniques. 
• Comfortable collaborating with backend teams on API integration and data modeling. 
• Based in the Netherlands (we're located in the Rotterdam area) 

Nice to have 

• Experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms or business-critical tools. 
• Familiarity with chat features or collaborative tools where E2E encryption is part of the architecture. 
• Experience or interest in 3D rendering (Three.js, Babylon.js) or Canvas/WebGL for imaging tools. 
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright). 
• Previous experience in agile or startup environments.
