Business Analyst - Amsterdam

A highly skilled Business Analyst is sought to support the delivery of complex software development projects within the Health & Safety (HSE) space. This role requires a candidate with strong experience in business process analysis, stakeholder engagement, and end-to-end project support.

Key Responsibilities of a Business Analyst:

• Lead business process analysis and gather detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into clearly defined specifications to guide development and QA teams.
• Support testing cycles, manage defect resolution, and ensure solutions meet stakeholder expectations.
• Develop strong relationships with global business stakeholders and act as a trusted liaison between business and technical teams.
• Maintain and enhance cloud-based ESG/HSE applications and provide third-line production support.
• Guide and mentor vendor-side functional analysts and contribute to ongoing product support.
• Keep up to date with ESG and Sustainability trends, regulations, and technology to inform system improvements and integration strategies.

Key Skills and Experience of a Business Analyst:

• Minimum 4 years of business analysis experience, ideally in enterprise IT within the ESG or Health & Safety domains.
• Broad knowledge of ESG and Health & Safety practices and requirements (must-have).
• Proven track record in requirements definition, functional design, and stakeholder management.
• Strong SAP, cloud applications, or enterprise systems knowledge is advantageous.
• Experience with multiple software development methodologies including iterative/agile approaches.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across distributed and multicultural teams.
• Competency in managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Hands-on experience in defining and testing system interfaces is a plus.
• Change management, training preparation, and mentoring experience are beneficial.
