Product Owner

We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer with strong data science skills for our AI & ML Products Team, Cloud platform, which provides GenAI and Machine Learning Services

• Work with business stakeholders to assemble the product requirements by understand external and internal customers’ use-cases and identify the best solutions for implementation;
• Lead project implementation with a cross-functional team and work closely with ML Engineers, Developers, Ops, Architects to define the best technical solutions that match our product vision;
• Coordinate business stakeholders and technical implementation teams towards project delivery;
• Create requirements documents such as use cases, business process diagrams and wireframes based on customer needs;
• Keep up with latest models and technologies and help IONOS leverage it from concept to production;
• Find practical solutions to emerging problems;
• Offer transparency and target dates and ensure meeting the deadlines;
• Support in preparing data for training the models or selecting pre-trained models;
• Selecting the best models (performance, speed), in the area of GenAI, foundation models, LLM according to business needs and industry trends;
• You advise colleagues from various business departments and collaborate to develop solutions in the areas of forecasting, classification, recommender systems or the use of GenAI/LLMs;
• Collaborate with an international organization of software developers and AI enthusiasts.

We appreciate:

• Proven track record of Product Ownership or Technical Product Management on online hosting or cloud solutions;
• Product-oriented development mindset and a responsible ownership attitude towards software components;
• You have experience in Product Development with classic ML models as well as GenAI-based solutions;
• You are passionate and keep up-to-date with industry the for foundation models: GenAI, LLMs, text2image, speech2text, and more, while helping IONOS leverage them from concept to production;
• You have software development experience in Python or R for building ML / AI applications exposed via REST APIs;
• Experience with specific tools like Jupyter notebooks, Kubeflow, MLflow and similar;
• Studies in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning or a related field;
• Good written and verbal English skills.
