The Role Purpose:
The Organizational Effectiveness Senior Manager is responsible for developing OE strategies, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of OE tools and operating models, shaping policies, processes, and practices that enable and improve simple and effective business planning and management. The OE Senior Manager analyzes the organization structure, determines changes to organization responsibilities and staffing through organization design models and frameworks, and provides effective OE/OD guidance to help the organization deliver the corporate strategy.
Additionally, the OE Senior Manager is a capability lead for strategic areas like Agile, AI, and GenAI that can impact organizational design.
What you'll do:
- Determine strategic OE decisions that influence HR strategy and supports senior leaders in developing and delivering OE processes to achieve business strategy.
- Possess a broad and comprehensive understanding of theories and practices to support the business in all elements of OE (e.g., organization sizing, job evaluation/grading, headcount planning, spans and layers, and job architecture).
- Contribute to the commercial objectives of the business.
- Apply complex evaluative judgment, reviews Group Policy, and ensures local market practice alignment.
- Evaluate jobs in collaboration with the Reward team and HRBPs (e.g., new jobs and anchor jobs) ensuring consistency in approach.
- Oversee the design and deployment of organization change models.
- Execute the annual organizational “health check.”
- Partner with the Reward team for HR budget and headcount planning exercises.
- Resolve complex issues around organization design and guides the team as required, championing best practices.
- Ensure regular, accurate data submissions for dashboard reporting in line with business requests.
- Lead OE projects to improve the simplicity and effectiveness of the business.
Who you are - core competencies:
- Significant OE experience deployed in large complex organizations.
- CIPD or similar professional qualifications.
- Master's level degree – ideal.
- Strong project management skills.
- Impact and influence – ability to influence executive-level directors across the organization, both group and local markets.
- Coaching – ability to coach and work collaboratively with business and HR colleagues.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking – credibility in expertise.
- Very strong communication skills – verbal and written.
- Management consulting experience is preferred.
