Job Title: Network Architect / Consultant

Total Experience Required: 10+ years in Information Technology/Computers/Software

Relevant Experience Required: 6+ years in Network

Job Type: Contract

Contract Duration: Minimum 6 months, extendable up to 18 months based on project needs

Workplace Type: Hybrid (at least 2 times a week at office)

Languages Required: English, Swedish is a plus

Visa/Work Authorization Status: Candidates must hold a valid work permit or visa to work in Sweden

Work Location: Gothenburg, Sweden

1. Must be currently based in Sweden, or
2. Willing to relocate to Sweden from anywhere within Europe or the UK
3. Candidates outside Europe/UK unfortunately cannot be considered

We are hiring a seasoned Network Architect / Consultant for a contract role based in Gothenburg. This role involves hands-on design, configuration, and governance of enterprise network infrastructure with a focus on WLAN, LAN/WAN, and Load Balancers. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of deep technical knowledge and strong documentation and governance capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, install, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Load Balancer infrastructure
• Translate business needs into scalable and secure IT solutions
• Create low-level design documentation and project rollout plans
• Collaborate with architecture teams and provide subject matter expertise
• Maintain technical documentation and highlight operational risks proactively

Essential Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching (Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, ASR)
• Strong WLAN expertise (Cisco WLCs, Aironet APs)
• Proficiency with F5 Load Balancers
• Solid understanding of SD-WAN, MPLS, and VPN technologies
• Ability to develop LLDs and lead network implementation

Optional Skills:

• Experience with Cisco Meraki solutions
• Familiarity with Cisco ACI and data center networking
• Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE)
• Working knowledge of architecture governance and security compliance
• Effective technical documentation and stakeholder communication
