Our client is a 5-10billion aum Investment Management Firm with 300+employees.

They are seeking a COO to oversee the day to day operations of the firm ensuring efficient processes, compliance, and growth. Role reports directly to the CEO. The right candidate would have a combination of both sell-side and buy-side experience with deep knowledge of the alternatives market.

• Operational Infrastructure: Managing the fund's operational infrastructure, including interactions with prime brokers, fund administrators, and other service providers.
• Compliance and Regulatory Reporting: Assisting with regulatory reporting, inspections, and requests, and maintaining a robust operational framework.
• Financial Reporting and Audits: Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and auditing processes.
• Technology Implementation: Contributing to the implementation of technology strategies.
• Ad Hoc Reporting: Preparing ad hoc reports as needed.
• Policy and Procedure Management: Updating and maintaining fund policies .
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Working with finance executives on budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
• Strategic Planning: Contributing to strategic planning and implementation of operational strategies.
• Team Management: Supervising and developing team members.
• Risk Management: Contributing to risk management strategies and processes.
• Growth and Efficiency: Driving sustainable growth and maximizing operational efficiency.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Prior asset management experience as an MD or COO. 20+years of experience.
• Strong leadership and management skills: Essential for overseeing operations and managing a team. Experience with M&A a plus.
