Network Architect

Job Responsibilities:

o Design, implement, and manage network solutions using Cisco Catalyst switching, Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco wireless, and Cisco Firepower firewalls.

o Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and policies.

o Monitor and maintain network performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.

o Perform regular network maintenance, including updates, patches, and backups.

o Implement and manage network security measures using Cisco Firepower firewalls and Zscaler.

o Provide Level 2/3 support for network-related issues and incidents.

o Troubleshoot and resolve complex network problems, collaborating with other IT teams as needed.

o Lead and manage network engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project objectives and budgets.

o Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide regular project updates.

o Analyze network performance data and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and throughput.

o Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential issues.

Required Skills:

o In-depth knowledge of Cisco Catalyst switching, Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco wireless, and Cisco Firepower firewalls.

o Familiarity with Zscaler security solutions.

o Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VPN).

o Knowledge of network architecture and design principles.

o Experience with network security best practices, including firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention, and secure network design.

o Ability to perform security assessments and implement mitigation strategies.

o Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.

o Ability to analyze network performance data and identify areas for improvement.

o Experience managing network engineering projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.

o Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

o Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

o Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

o Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE are highly desirable.

o A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
