Network Engineer | Contract until Dec 2025 | ASAP Start - Brisbane Based - Hybrid Model.

We're looking for a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. If you're passionate about designing, implementing, and managing secure and high-performing networks, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement network infrastructure
Plan and execute office setups and transitions
Perform current firewall Best Practice Assessment (BPA)
Redesign 802.1x authentication
Set up lab environments for testing and trials
Decommission and off-board aging gear
Maintain thorough documentation
Monitor network performance
Migrate from Panorama to SCM

Capabilities Overview:

Strong background in LAN, WAN, wireless, and hybrid cloud networks
Security-focused with knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001
Skilled in cloud integration (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience with failover systems and disaster recovery
Proficient in performance monitoring and automation

Technical Stack:

Networking: TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, SD-WAN, VLANs
Security: Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NAC
Tools: Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios, Splunk, Ansible
Cloud/Virtualization: VMware, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes
Scripting/Automation: Python, PowerShell, Terraform

Highly Regarded Certifications:

CCNP, CISSP, Security+, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty
