Fullstack Developer (Clojure)

We’re hiring a Fullstack Developer for an exciting new project in Helsinki, working with one of Finland’s most recognized digital service providers. This is a fantastic opportunity for a developer with strong JVM experience (especially in Clojure) to join a skilled team delivering cloud-native solutions in a high-impact environment.

📍 Location: Helsinki – Capital area (on-site at the client HQ in Pohjois-Haaga)

📅 Start date: No later than August 5, 2025

⏳ Duration: Initial contract until December 31, 2025, with two optional 6-month extensions

Work responsibility:

You’ll be a key part of a fullstack development team working on modern, transactional, multitenant systems in a highly regulated industry. The core stack involves Clojure, React, and cloud-native technologies on Google Cloud and AWS, with heavy use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.

Your role will focus on:

🧩 Designing and implementing backend services using Clojure (or similar JVM-based languages)

🌐 Building and refining responsive frontend applications with React

☁️ Developing software on AWS or Google Cloud Platform, including automated provisioning

🛠️ Working with IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation

🗄️ Configuring and optimizing relational databases

🔄 Ensuring transactional consistency and scalability in backend systems

Requirements:

✔️ 2+ years in a lead or senior developer position on software development projects

✔️ 2+ years implementing backend services in JVM-based languages (Clojure, Kotlin, Java, or Scala)

✔️ 2+ years experience on AWS or GCP platforms

✔️ Hands-on skills in IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation

✔️ 2+ years of React frontend development

✔️ Fluent communication in Finnish and English
