This is a key leadership role for a technical expert ready to influence the architectural vision of a dynamic platform – one that's already making waves in financial technology and now investing heavily in AI and next-gen systems.

As Software Architect, you’ll lead the technical strategy and design of cloud-native, scalable solutions that power financial services applications. You’ll work closely with engineering leads, product teams, and stakeholders to architect systems that are high-performing, secure, and future-proof. You’ll play a vital role in driving innovation – especially around AI/ML integration.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Designing and evolving cloud-based architectures using Microsoft Azure (App Services, AKS, Azure Functions, Fabric, etc.)
• Defining and implementing DevOps practices using Azure DevOps, IaC (ARM/Terraform), and CI/CD pipelines
• Shaping and integrating AI/ML capabilities across product lines (including model deployment, monitoring, and architecture scalability)
• Driving secure development practices and ensuring systems meet regulatory compliance (GDPR, SOC2, ISO 27001, etc.)
• Mentoring engineering teams and ensuring best practices in coding, testing, design patterns, and system integration
• Working across business functions to translate complex requirements into scalable, secure technical designs

TECH SNAPSHOT

• Cloud: Azure (App Services, Functions, AKS, Storage, SQL, Monitor, AAD)
• Languages: C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core (ideally from a .NET background but can be flexible)
• AI/ML: Experience with ML/NLP models, pipelines, and deployment in production environments (Azure ML, Docker, Kubernetes)
• DevOps: Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Terraform/ARM templates
• Security: OAuth, OpenID Connect, RBAC, secure API design

ABOUT THE PERSON

• 8+ years in software engineering, with recent experience in architectural or technical leadership roles
• Strong grasp of architectural principles for scalable and secure distributed systems
• Confident designing and integrating AI/ML models into enterprise-grade applications
• Proven ability to mentor teams, make high-impact decisions, and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Familiar with Agile methodologies, DevOps, and modern software development lifecycles

• Location: Hybrid (Cork City) – 2/3 days per week in the office
