Why This Role Is Right for You

As a Analyst Developer, you’ll join a collaborative and forward-thinking team based in Italy. Together, we work on ensuring the correct maintenance, upgrades and evolution of all the systems and application which operate on the Stratus System, with regards to timings, standards and methodologies for the continuous organisational development.

The developer, will also be working on customising the whole, applications landscape related to the payment authorisation system and its related systems for Risk Management and Pre-Paid Cards Portals; conducting analysis, development and implementations of new applications and/or updates of the existing ones.

About Your Future Role

In this position, you will:

• Gather technical specifications, design the application and/or update, code it using COBOL and then support the implementation of it.
• Provide Application support for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and System Integration Testing (SIT) on designed applications.
• Support the installation and production of the new application, including creation of relative app documentation.
• Integrate software application in accordance to the agreed enhancements to International Payment Circuits.
• Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to define SLAs.
  
  

What Makes You a Great Fit

The ideal person will have demonstrable experience as Analyst Developer/Programmer on COBOL, with specific experience of working on payment scheme systems, whether on Acquiring, Issuing or Settlements systems, preferably in as STRATUS VOS environment.

They will also be comfortable interfacing with stakeholder, internal and external, and be a results driven, self motivating person, capable of workjing both independently as well as part of a team.

Essential Qualifications

• Good knowledge and experience of COBOL.
• Good experience of working as an Analyst Developer; defining issues, designing solutions, developing them, and working closely to have them implemented.
• Knowledge of Payment Cards messaging protocols (ISO8583, Swift, etc)
• Experience deriving from Financial Services, Banking, FinTech or Monetary service providers.
• Good communications and stakeholder management skills, in both Italian and English
• Results driven, object oriented, able to work autonomously and in a team
  
  

Bonus Skills

• Knowledge and experience of STRATUS or VOS, would be greatly advantageous.
• Knowledge and experience of Java or C
