Python Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Python Developer with specialization in Generative AI to join our dynamic team at UBS, Zürich. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of machine learning, advanced AI frameworks, and hands-on experience with LLMs and cloud environments. This is a hybrid role requiring presence in the Zürich office 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable GenAI solutions using Python and related frameworks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and integrate advanced machine learning models and pipelines
• Work with LLM APIs (e.g., Azure OpenAI, Anthropic) and leverage vector databases for intelligent data processing
• Implement AI/ML workflows using tools like LangChain, LangGraph, and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face
• Optimize model performance and ensure reliability in deployment environments
• Communicate technical insights clearly to stakeholders and non-technical teams

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or a related technical field from a premier institute
• 8+ years of relevant work experience in software development and AI/ML
• Strong foundation in mathematics: Probability, Statistics, Linear Algebra, Calculus
• Deep expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and GenAI concepts
• Practical experience with cloud platforms: Azure (preferred), AWS, GCP, Databricks
• Proficient in Python, with hands-on experience in AI/ML libraries and tools
• Experience working with LangChain, LangGraph, and Vector Databases
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Knowledge of financial products (mutual funds, ETFs, client segmentation) is a plus
