Back End Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Technical Specialist with 12+ years of experience in backend development. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in building and deploying Kotlin-based microservices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in cloud-native design, low-latency systems, and caching strategies using Redis.

Primary Skills (Must-Have):

Strong development experience of microservices using Kotlin.

Strong experience deploying applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) preferably.

Proficient in Redis for caching, messaging, and data store optimization.

Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, service mesh concepts, and distributed systems.

Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools, ideally GitHub Actions.

Strong coding standards, debugging, and performance optimization skills.

Good to have MongoDB or Google Cloud Datastore knowledge.

Sound knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.

Understanding of Solace or other messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub).

Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools.

Familiarity with DevOps principles and cloud-native deployment patterns.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain robust microservices using Kotlin with caching in redis and deploy in GCP.

Lead end-to-end application development, including design, development, testing, and deployment.

Integrate microservices and messaging systems (e.g., Solace) into enterprise workflows.

Leverage GCP services for cloud-native solution deployment and scalability.

Knowledge to set up and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, architects, and product owners to deliver impactful solutions.
