Senior Information Technology Manager - Manufacturing Sector
We are currently seeking a Senior Information Technology Manager for a leading multinational manufacturing company, who will lead the Information Technology department, reporting directly to the General Manager.
The Senior Information Technology Manager will be responsible for developing and leading the company’s IT strategy, ensuring that technology infrastructure and digital systems align with business goals in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This leadership role will oversee all aspects of the IT function—including infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, business continuity, SAP systems, and IT governance—while driving digital transformation and operational efficiency through scalable and secure technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Governance:
- Develop and execute the company's long-term IT roadmap aligned with overall business strategy.
- Define IT governance, policies, standards, and processes in accordance with best practices
- Partner with executive leadership to identify technology opportunities that support manufacturing innovation, efficiency, and growth.
- Prepare and manage the annual IT budget; monitor IT investments for value realization and ROI.
- Lead change management and digital transformation initiatives across departments.
SAP & ERP Management:
- Serve as the executive owner of the SAP S/4HANA platform used across finance, production, supply chain, procurement, and sales.
- Ensure the successful configuration, optimization, integration, and support of SAP modules
- Lead SAP projects such as upgrades, module expansions, or cloud migration in coordination with internal teams and SAP partners.
- Drive user adoption, process automation, and master data integrity across SAP and peripheral systems.
IT Operations & Infrastructure:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure including servers, networks, databases, endpoints, and cloud services, software, and hardware assets.
- Ensure high availability, business continuity, and disaster recovery readiness of critical systems.
- Monitor IT service levels, help desk performance, and end-user satisfaction metrics.
- Ensure cybersecurity measures are in place, including identity management, endpoint protection, firewall, intrusion detection, and employee training.
- Oversee Production Automation System design, implementation, and maintenance
Team Management & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team, including system administrators, SAP consultants, developers, and support specialists.
- Foster a collaborative, agile, and performance-driven culture.
- Implement workforce planning to ensure the IT team can scale with business needs.
Vendor & Project Management:
- Manage relationships with external IT service providers, consultants, SAP partners, and hardware/software vendors.
- Oversee the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new software, systems, and platforms.
- Lead and track large-scale IT projects using methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid frameworks.
Data & Analytics:
- Support the implementation and use of business intelligence (BI) tools integrated with SAP for real-time reporting and analytics.
- Promote data quality, security, and accessibility across the organization.
- Work with business leaders to design dashboards and KPIs to support informed decision-making.
AI and Automation:
- Evaluate and implement AI, machine learning, and robotic process automation (RPA) solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead the adoption and scaling of RPA initiatives, ensuring seamless integration with SAP and other enterprise systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 12 years of experience in IT, including a leadership role in a manufacturing or industrial company.
- Proven track record of SAP S/4HANA implementation, support, and optimization in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing complex IT infrastructures, enterprise applications, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Experience with digital transformation, Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, or IoT.
- Deep understanding of SAP architecture, modules, and integration with 3rd-party systems.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure (Windows/Linux servers, networking, cloud platforms, virtualization).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity standards (ISO 27001), data privacy (GDPR), and compliance requirements.
- Exposure to BI platforms such as Power BI.
- Project management tools (e.g., MS Project, MS Azure Devops) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
- Familiarity with RPA tools such as UiPath.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into technology solutions.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- High integrity, resilience, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Collaborative mindset and hands-on approach when needed.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English and Turkish
