Scrum Master- ServiceNow

Key Responsibilities

• Agile Facilitation and Coaching

1. Act as a servant-leader and coach for Agile teams, guiding them in implementing Agile principles and practices.
2. Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
3. Foster a culture of collaboration, self-organization, and accountability within the teams.

• Project Coordination and Delivery

1. Collaborate with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the ServiceNow product backlog.
2. Support planning, execution, and tracking of ServiceNow sprints, ensuring deliverables align with business objectives.
3. Address and resolve impediments to keep the team focused and productive.
4. Monitor and report on sprint progress using Agile metrics (velocity, burndown charts, etc.).

• Stakeholder Engagement

1. Liaise between the technical team, business units, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
2. Manage expectations and ensure clear communication of project status, risks, and dependencies.

• Continuous Improvement

1. Drive continuous process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions.
2. Promote and implement Agile best practices tailored to the ServiceNow environment.
3. Gather feedback to enhance team performance and project outcomes.

• ServiceNow Knowledge

1. Collaborate with technical teams to understand and communicate ServiceNow capabilities, modules, and implementation best practices.
2. Ensure Agile processes are optimized for ServiceNow project delivery.
3. Support teams in implementing solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, or other ServiceNow modules as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Education and Certification:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
2. Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent Agile certification.
3. ITIL certification (desirable).

• Experience:

1. 3+ years as a Scrum Master, preferably in ServiceNow or enterprise technology projects.
2. Proven track record of leading Agile teams in a complex technology environment.
3. Experience with ServiceNow implementations and understanding of its modules and capabilities.

• Skills and Competencies:

1. Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
2. Familiarity with ServiceNow tools and Agile project management platforms (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
3. Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
4. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Technical Knowledge:

1. Basic understanding of ServiceNow development processes and integrations.
2. Awareness of ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, or CSM (a plus).
