About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team and drive the design, implementation, and optimization of DevOps processes focused on automation, infrastructure as code, and container orchestration. This role is tailored for a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of enterprise-scale environments and highly regulated industries (such as finance, healthcare, insurance, or government sectors).
As the technical lead, you will architect and maintain scalable, secure, and auditable CI/CD pipelines, leveraging modern DevOps toolchains and best practices. You’ll work cross-functionally with development, QA, InfoSec, and compliance teams to ensure a seamless, compliant, and efficient software delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and lead the implementation of end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
- Drive containerization strategy using Docker and Kubernetes across multiple environments (development, staging, production).
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions that align with enterprise standards (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Datadog).
- Ensure platform and pipeline compliance with industry regulations such as HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, or FedRAMP.
- Establish guardrails and automation for governance-as-code and policy enforcement (e.g., using OPA, HashiCorp Sentinel, or AWS Config).
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to automate auditing, reporting, and infrastructure scanning (e.g., Aqua Security, Trivy, Snyk, Checkov).
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering best practices in software delivery and operations.
- Participate in architectural decisions regarding infrastructure modernization, hybrid cloud deployment, and platform scalability.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of DevOps/SRE experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
- Deep hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and container orchestration.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including cloud-native services and security best practices.
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Advanced scripting and programming knowledge in Python, Bash, Go, or similar.
- Familiarity with regulated environments and relevant controls (e.g., access logging, encryption, audit trails, segregation of duties).
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CKA/CKAD, AWS DevOps Engineer, or HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate.
- Experience implementing zero-trust architectures, service meshes, or GitOps workflows.
- Prior work in organizations adhering to NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, or FISMA standards.
