Position Overview:

The Product Designer will be instrumental in all stages of the product design lifecycle, from user research and ideation to prototyping, testing, and final visual design. This role requires a strong understanding of user-centered design principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Product Designer will report to the Head of Product.

Key Responsibilities:

User-Centered Design & Research:

• Conduct user research (interviews, surveys, usability testing) to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
• Translate research findings into actionable design insights and opportunities.
• Champion user-centered design principles throughout the organization.

Concept & Ideation:

• Lead brainstorming sessions and workshops to generate innovative solutions.
• Develop concepts, wireframes, user flows, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.
• Proactively seek opportunities to improve design processes and methodologies.

Interaction & Visual Design:

• Design intuitive and engaging user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) across various platforms (web, mobile).
• Create high-fidelity mockups, visual designs, and design specifications that are aesthetically pleasing and reflect our brand identity.
• Ensure consistency and adherence to design principles and brand guidelines across all products.

Prototyping & Testing:

• Create interactive prototypes for user testing and stakeholder presentations.
• Plan and conduct usability tests, analyze results, and iterate on designs based on feedback.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with product managers to define product requirements and roadmaps.
• Partner with engineers to ensure technical feasibility and successful implementation of designs.
• Facilitate smooth design handoffs to engineering.

Design Systems:

• Contribute to and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency across our product portfolio.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Product Designer, UX Designer, UI Designer, or similar role.
• A strong online portfolio showcasing a range of design projects, demonstrating your design process, problem-solving skills, and visual design capabilities. 
• Proficiency with industry-standard design tools such as Figma.
• Experience creating interactive prototypes.
• Ability to work asynchronously with a fully remote team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale to diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a user-centered approach to design.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality designs.
• Experience in financial services or the Bitcoin space.
