DevOps Engineer

Lead Platform / DevOps Engineer | Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes | FinTech

• 6+ Month Contract
• £550-£650 per day, depending on experience and seniority
• Outside IR35
• Hybrid London (Victoria) location. 1-3 days per week in the office preferred, depending on your location and circumstances, let’s discuss as there’s flexibility for the right candidate

We’re working with a long-standing favourite, a major financial services firm (circa 700 employees) with a Global Enterprise Azure estate. Our client are expanding to the USA banking business (ironically based out of the UK) and need a Lead Azure Platform / DevOps Engineer to be the technical lead and authority on their global Azure estate. As a global leader in international financial services, they have built a strong reputation over the past 40 years and are now expanding further into the FinTech space.

Non-negotiables:

• Azure, very strong platform knowledge required
• Terraform, ARM or Bicep (any of these will be ok, but Terraform is the primary one our client uses)
• Azure DevOps, TeamCity or Octopus (any of these will be ok, but Azure DevOps is the primary one our client uses)

Desirable

• Ansible
• Azure monitoring, including app insights
• Kubernetes
• Bash
• PowerShell
• Linux

This is a very senior role where the buck stops with you to manage the infrastructure and platform. Please only apply if you have a wealth of experience in this space.

• Azure Cloud - a complex global Azure ecosystem
• CI/CD - Azure DevOps

• Ansible
• Kubernetes – more and more will be happening here
• C#. NET for their core applications
• GitHub

What we're looking for:

• Collaborate with a wide variety of stake holders inside and outside of the IT divisions
• Able to mentor junior engineers
• Comfortable navigating regulated environments and structured delivery setups
