In this role, you’ll be involved in the full software development lifecycle—from behaviour-driven development and automated testing to deploying scalable solutions on cloud infrastructure. Your work will directly support high-performance digital tools that enable diagnostics, analytics, and data-driven decision-making across the state’s healthcare network.

What You'll Be Doing

Responsible for a diverse range of functions in support of the delivery of NSW Health Pathology solutions including:

  • Develop and maintain secure, scalable, and maintainable code within a DevSecOps environment.
  • Contribute to modern CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions for reporting, dashboards, and real-time clinical insights.
  • Apply best practices in software engineering to ensure quality, performance, and reliability.

  • Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated work experience relevant to the role, along with a commitment and passion to ongoing professional development.
  • Practical experience with cloud solutions, API based integration and system communications.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform to undertake the development and maintenance of databases and analytical models with data.
  • High level development skills including data visualisation skills, TypeScript, Angular and Java software development.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis, mapping and migration.
  • Customer focused approach displaying high level communication, liaison and negotiation skills, along with proven ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, to achieve best outcome for the organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in the delivery of results and quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.
  • Ability to be flexible and participate in on call roster as required.
