The Role

As a mid-level data science consultant, your focus is both technical and consultative. You’ll help clients solve real business problems using data — not just by building models, but also by advising on what’s possible, feasible, and impactful.

We see an agentic future, and it is a huge plus if you come with curiosity or experience in agentic workflows (e.g. autonomous agents, orchestration of LLMs/tools, or AI-led decision processes).We’re increasingly building capabilities in this area — and we’re looking for people who want to grow with us.

You’ll work on:

• Designing and implementing machine learning models and experiments
• Translating business needs into analytical solutions
• Exploring new data sources and automating analysis
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams across Avaus and client organisations
• Advising on the use of data and AI to drive business outcomes
• Reporting to show-case the results we create for our clients
  
  

Who are you?

You’re a curious, analytical problem-solver who wants to grow into a trusted advisor. You understand that data science is as much about people, processes and priorities as it is about code. You value impact over elegance — and progress over perfection.

We believe you have:

• A Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. engineering, computer science, mathematics)
• Solid knowledge of Python and open-source data science libraries Experience with machine learning techniques and experimentation
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and modern data tools (e.g. Looker, Snowflake)
• Comfortable working with SQL and databases
• Experience or interest in recommender systems, agentic workflows, or autonomous AI tools
• Fluent in English and Swedish
  
  

Practical Information

Our office is located at Renstiernas gata 12, and we have a flexible hybrid work model where we both work from our office, the client offices and home sometimes. We’ll agree on the starting data and it is a permanent position with a 6 months probation period. You will report to the Head of Delivery and be in the Data & Analytics competence team.
