Key Responsibilities

  • Lead recruitment initiatives, crafting strategies to attract top-tier candidates aligned with the organization’s mission and values.
  • Conduct interviews, evaluate candidates, and execute efficient onboarding processes.
  • Design and deliver effective onboarding programs to acclimate new hires to the culture, policies, and procedures of the organization.
  • Ensure employees have the resources and tools needed for early success.
  • Create, revise, and implement HR policies in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Advise organizational leadership on legislative changes, compliance issues, and HR best practices.
  • Partner with leadership to develop retention strategies that enhance the employee experience and reduce turnover.
  • Facilitate programs and initiatives that improve workplace satisfaction and promote professional growth.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership, offering guidance on HR processes, policies, and legislative matters.
  • Oversee investigations and resolution of complex employee relations cases.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resource Management preferred.
  • 4+ years of directly related work experience in HR, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
  • CHRP and/or CHRL designation (completed or in progress).
  • Extensive knowledge of HR best practices, legislative compliance, and policy development.
