Job Summary:

As a Data Specialist at Alteris Consulting, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing data to support business intelligence and strategic decision-making for our clients. You’ll work closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, build efficient data pipelines, and develop impactful insights that drive measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect, clean, validate, and organize data from multiple internal and client-facing sources.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, databases, dashboards, and reports to support data analysis and visualization.
  • Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, insights, and opportunities that add value to client engagements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including consultants, developers, and business analysts—to define data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Support data integration and migration initiatives across cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of data models, processes, definitions, and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with client-specific data governance, privacy, and security requirements.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues in collaboration with technical and business teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in a data specialist, data analyst, or similar role.
  • Proficient in SQL and at least one data visualization tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills for quick data exploration and manipulation.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling concepts.
  • Ability to manage multiple data sources and ensure consistent, high-quality outputs.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a client-facing consulting environment with evolving priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Python, R, or other data analysis languages.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), especially in a data services context.
  • Knowledge of enterprise systems such as SAP, Salesforce, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices.
