Software Engineer, Android, Google Play Store

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in software development using Java.
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
• 2 years of experience in Android development.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 1 year of experience with Kotlin development.
• Experience in working with code and system health, diagnosing and resolving issues, and applying software test engineering practices.
• Experience with Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) architecture and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience and interest in the mobile domain, with a focus on apps.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Write product or system development code.
• Deliver visible, consumer-facing Playstore functionalities, taking them from experimentation to production launch.
• Collaborate with Product and UX teams to develop and optimize features for the Play Store.
• Ensure solutions scale effectively across verticals, geographies, and content categories over time.
• Design and develop key Android client-side features for the Play Store, enhancing user experience across the apps homepage, details page, and search journeys.
