Job Title: Senior Flutter Mobile Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer specializing in Flutter to help build and scale a mobile-first financial platform aimed at empowering users to manage their finances effectively. As a key member of the core mobile team, you’ll work on delivering scalable, maintainable, and high-quality solutions. This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of features—from architectural design through to deployment—while collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product and Design.

Engagement Details

• Contract Duration: 6+ months (strong possibility of converting to full time employee status)
• Location: Remote
• Work Hours: Must have 8 hours of overlap with Pacific Time (PT)
• Potential: Strong likelihood of conversion to full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced mobile applications using Flutter
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to deliver a seamless user experience
• Drive development from feature ideation to release, ensuring clean and scalable code
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the mobile stack
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews and knowledge sharing
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and work within a microservices-based architecture

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in mobile application development (iOS/Android)
• Deep proficiency in Flutter including state management, widget composition, and animations
• Strong experience with RESTful APIs and mobile data handling
• Solid grasp of modern mobile UI/UX best practices
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Test-driven mindset with experience writing unit and integration tests
• Familiarity with web protocols and mobile design patterns

Preferred Skills

• Experience with reactive programming (e.g., Streams, RxDart, Coroutines)
• Knowledge of software design principles such as SOLID or GRASP
• Background in Clean Architecture and mobile performance optimization
• Experience creating reusable components or contributing to open-source mobile libraries
