Software Engineer II, Data Engineering Console, Infrastructure

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
• 1 year of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience or knowledge in Infrastructure Systems.
• Experience or knowledge in Software Architecture.
• Experience coding in C++.

The Data Engineering Console integrates with Google's exa-scale data engineering solutions and presents a unified operations console and (future) creation UI, requiring highly reliable and scalable data processing itself.

We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. Responsibilities

• Create new solutions to support Data Engineering Console (DEC's) growing scope.
• Improve system efficiency as we scale from thousands to millions of data entities.
• Build low-latency processing solutions to serve information to our Software Engineers.
• Change our system model to support creating and modifying data assets across multiple surfaces such as UI, code, and AI agents.
• Support business-critical customers who rely on us to keep their business data flowing, whether for Ads, Gemini, Search or Geo.
