Backend Software Engineer III

• Design and develop software using Cloud Services.
  
  
  
  

• Conduct design and code review to ensure compliance with standards.
• Ensures on-time delivery of agreed milestones and deliverables.
• Perform system failure analysis and provide corrective actions.
• Be a quick learner of the Cloud platform and the POS solution.
• Participates in process improvements and contributes to support team objectives.
• Effectively applies Software Engineering practices and enforces defined process standards.
  
  

Background

Required:

• 8+ years of experience in software development
• Experience implementing microservices using Golang.
• Experience designing and building data storage and retrieval solutions using MongoDB
• Experience building and operating distributed systems using message busses (Kafka, NATS)
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs
  
  
  
  

• Experience with modern CI/CD systems and code flow
  
  
  
  

• Experience working with Kubernetes primitives
  
  
  
  

• Implementation of application instrumentation (i.e. Prometheus).
  
  

Preferred:

• Experience working with JWT auth flows.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (i.e Terraform)
• Experience working with Apigee
• Experience working with Cilium

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly developing opportunities.
• Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Self-starter, self-learner.
