The Opportunity

In the Digital Video & Audio Machine Learning Team we build, maintain and deploy pioneering AI and ML features within our video and audio products. Adobe Sensei features like Scene Edit Detection, Auto Reframe, Text-Based Editing or Media Intelligence originated in this group.

With an increased focus on AI & ML throughout our apps, we are looking for skilled Computer Scientists to challenge the state of the art in AI assisted video editing and redefine the frontier of creative arts.

What you'll Do

• Work closely with Research and Engineering, writing the code that drives our powerful Machine Learning and AI Media Compute engine to deliver ground breaking features that are used by millions of video editors across the world.
• Work with and improve our latest machine learning models to develop innovative workflows for media and entertainment production, ranging from social media to high-profile Hollywood projects.
• Work on the AI compute technologies with our Hardware partners around the globe to ensure our ML models run as fast and accurate as possible on all our supported platforms.
  
  

What you need to succeed

• 7+ years of relevant practical experience.
• Ability to read and understand academic papers and literature.
• Wide reaching understanding of the current research landscape in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills across research, engineering and product design subject areas.
• Experience with training and architecting Machine Learning architectures in Pytorch.
• Proficiency in writing robust and unit-tested code in C++ 17 and Python 3.11.
• Strong grasp of asynchronous and multi-threaded programming models and paradigms.
• If you also have experience with DirectX, Metal, ML Model Compression, Zero-Copy Memory Sharing and writing GPU Code - perfect. But if not, Adobe is an excellent place to learn!
• Candidates with an MS or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience are encouraged to apply.
